A rich surface texture and encrustation of iron rust in black. The style and proportions of the statue point to an earlier Chinese influence. The simple form of the compassion Bodhisattva backed by a flaming mandorla is appealing in its archaic presence.
Kannon is holding a removable lotus.
Circa 19-20th century standing atop a double lotus base wearing long flowing robes and tall pointed headdress with elaborate sectional mandorla exhibiting raised detailing aureola aura placed above her shoulders which has become loosened over time.
