Nude warrior sculpture, from the Second Half 19th century.Mmythological warrior entitled Honor Patria after Picault. The body is one-piece, to which the sword and base have been welded. On the front of the base, and integrated into its casting, it has the words HONOR and homeland.The warrior has very careful proportions, with a spectacularly harmonious ensemble result, highlighting the movement that conveys his contemplation. The bronze finish has been left untuned, thus achieving a sketch or sketch effect, conveying to the viewer the feeling of strength and lightness.
The black patina has been generating a nice time-produced look, with a very attractive, high-quality result.
The sculpture is signed on its base, having used hammer and chisel to engrave the inscription E. PICAULT.
